About Me

I am double board certified in pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology.  I received my BA in English and American Literature from New York University, then went on to complete the baccalaureate pre-medical program at Bryn Mawr College where I met my husband.  Together we attended medical school at Brown University and from there moved to NYC for residency at NY Presbyterian-Weill Cornell.  After residency I returned to my hometown of Philadelphia to complete my fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where I have remained on staff since 2017.  

I have experience working in drug development and am passionate about the best medications being available for children with pediatric inflammatory bowel disease.  

I have always had a passion for integrative medicine and nutrition. I graduated from medical school with a concentration in  Contemplative Studies and have since  completed the following additional trainings:

• Pediatric Integrative Medicine in Residency from the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine
• Plant-Based Nutrition from eCornell University
• Coaching Certification from The Coach Firm
• The Fit Collective Nutrition Training Program by Ali Novitsky, MD
